The hard rock/heavy metal artist from Chicago, WAR GODS OF THE DEEP, released the single “Breaker of Worlds” on March 14th via Astro Dragon Records. The track follows the Fan Club Edition of the 2019’s opus “Action Space Battle”, re-released in January 2024 as a limited edition pressing.

The official music video for “Breaker of Worlds” answers the age-old question of “what if War Gods of the Deep walked into a video greeting kiosk at a shopping mall in 1988 and decided to record a music video?” Combining less than cutting edge technology with a complete disregard for what is expected from a modern hard rock / heavy metal music video, somehow WGOTD have managed to craft the perfect visual component to its epic and anthemic single that is sure to amuse and entertain anyone that will allow themselves the opportunity.
“Breaker of Worlds” marks yet another stop on the WGOTD journey to new and unpredictable musical destinations. Combining elements of 70’s country pop vocal ensembles, hints of nu-metal from the late 90’s and the ever present 80’s classic rock and metal foundations the band has built its identity on, “Breaker of Worlds” certainly stands on its own unique merits both sonically and lyrically among the ever growing WGOTD body of work.
