The Italian thrash metal band DEATHOX is excited to deliver a brand-new track, entitled “My Jail”. The song is included in the band’s upcoming album “Hallucinations,” set to be released as CD and digital on March 14th via Backup Studio Records.

“My Jail” is a speedy come-back, the song runs fast and the words explain the sensation that is felt when you leave a psychiatric clinic after a long stay. You find yourself feeling worse than before because you have no roots, you miss the ephemeral safety of the thick walls of the clinic, the medicines and the sense of compassion and companionship you had with the other patients who were close to you with their symptoms and hopes. The song gallops fast as life outside the clinic does for those who do not have the lucidity to catch up with the city’s frenetic lifestyle. The sound is strongly influenced by the late Metallica period and albums such as “72 Seasons” and “Hardwired...To Self-Destruct”.

“Hallucinations” is the second album by DEATHOX. The band’s mastermind BeKy collected experiences in various years in a psychiatric hospital and those are brought together through the band’s records. BeKy deals with topics such as psychiatric disorders, self-harm, hallucinations, psychosis, and depression. Situations he has had to face in his life and that have led him to have great awareness of his limits, his strengths and his dark sides.
